It seems so easy to pick a movie when you're playing in the realm of Mickey Mouse and Simba, but as the babies become preteens, mom and dad realize it doesn't have to be all animated mice and singing. However, it seems nearly impossible to sit down and find a good middle ground movie! Where does just enough action and story line meet family-friendly and safe? We have spent many Friday nights, popcorn in hand, trying to find this out ourselves. Below, we complied a list of movies that our family enjoyed, however, be sure to do your own research before watching to ensure it's a good fit for your family.

Another timeless movie which is about twin sisters swapping places. This is a great one to enjoy before the kiddos head to summer camp, just be sure you pick up your own kid when they leave. The 1998 edition is our favorite.
