If Our Meals Had Personalities

Every family has them.
The dependable one who’s always there when you need them. The crowd favorite who somehow gets all the attention. The comfort-seeker everyone gravitates toward after a long day. The introvert who quietly shows up and ends up being everyone’s favorite by the end of the night. They’re the personalities that make family gatherings, weeknight dinners, and holiday tables feel familiar.
And the more we thought about it, the more we realized our meals aren’t all that different. Some are reliable staples. Some are bold and impossible to ignore. Some are comforting classics that never go out of style. And some surprise us every time they make an appearance.
So for fun, we imagined our meals with personalities. Here’s who earned the superlatives.

Last year, these two each sold 2x as many units as our third-best seller.
Year after year, Chicken Salad remains one of the most ordered items we make. It’s the item that has customers walking through the door asking, “Do you have any Chicken Salad today?” before they’ve even looked at the menu. Other items are popular, but Breakfast Burritos have their own fan club. They are always on the menu for a reason; everyone loves having them in their freezer.

Our Lasagna is as traditional as it gets at Good Batch Mama. The recipe comes from the original “Mama” herself—Elizabeth’s grandmother—and it’s still made the same way today. In a kitchen full of new menu items and seasonal favorites, this one has stood the test of time.
Some recipes are classics for a reason.

Our Homemade Strawberry Jam doesn’t make many appearances. It quietly shows up once or twice during strawberry season and then disappears until next year.
And every single time, our inbox fills up with customers making sure they didn’t miss it.
It’s not the loudest item on the menu, but it definitely has one of the most devoted fan clubs.
Speaking of which, it’s currently on the menu for the last time this season—so now’s your chance to stock up.

Of course, these aren’t the only personalities on the menu, and truthfully, we could probably do this for every item on the menu.
Some meals are loud. Some are dependable. Some make a brief appearance and leave everyone wanting more. Some have been around so long they feel like part of the family.
And if you’ve ordered from us for any length of time, you probably already know exactly which personality you’d invite to dinner first.
